TRI Commercial/CORFAC International: Barry Bram

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – TRI Commercial/CORFAC International Senior Vice President and Regional Manager Tom Martindale announced that brokerage principal Barry Bram has been named a LEED® AP (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design Accredited Professional) in association with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Bram is a 20+ year TRI professional and historically one of the firm’s top producers.

In pursuing this advanced designation, Bram said: “Not only are developers and, commendably, our government, looking to create environmentally safer buildings, but they are also looking to save resources and money. The payback on utilities alone, not to mention increased working hours and health costs savings, can be reached within a few years, and companies are looking at ways to save significant dollars now more than ever. Tenants are also becoming more in tune with the benefits of LEED certification and this demand will continue to increase. Buildings with this rating have a competitive advantage and will lead the market not only in energy and environmental design, but also in lower vacancy and stronger rent rolls. As a broker, the LEED® AP designation and understanding sustainability issues are competitive advantages for me and TRI Commercial.”

USGBC developed the criteria by which buildings can achieve LEED Certification and professionals can earn LEED accreditation. The USGBC is the nation’s foremost coalition of leaders from across the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work.
