Don Ossey, SIOR and Principal of Capacity Commercial Group/CORFAC International in Portland OR, was named the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS® (SIOR) Instructor of the Year (2011) at its recent spring conference in Miami, FL. Ossey is one of 10 instructors in SIOR’s Center for Career Advancement (CCA) program, which provides commercial real estate education focused on the industrial and office arenas. SIOR CCA increases knowledge and enhances business skills for professionals working in commercial real estate brokerage services.

Ossey taught classes on construction, development and sustainability throughout 2011 at numerous locations throughout the country. He is currently vice chair of the SIOR Faculty Committee, responsible for establishing curriculum and strategic planning for the Society’s CCA.

Ossey has been facilitating industrial transactions for investors, developers, building owners and tenants in the Portland market since 1981 and has an A-list of clients, including Panattoni Development, ProLogis and Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods, for which Ossey received the prestigious 2007 SIOR Industrial Transaction of the Year Award. In 2007, he also received the Commercial Association of REALTORS® Award for Industrial Broker of the Year. An active member of SIOR, Ossey also serves on the board of the Columbia Corridor Association and was the 2009 President of the Commercial Association of REALTORS®.
