Don Ossey Gets Involved With The LPGA

In August, Japan’s Mika Miyazato won her first LPGA Tour Title at the Safeway Classic in North Plains, OR by finishing Sunday with a 2-under 70 to beat Brittany Lincicome by two strokes. Don Ossey, SIOR and a Principal with Portland’s Capacity Commercial Group/CORFAC International is the Tournament Chairman and has been involved with the LPGA’s tour stop in Portland since 2005.

“Working with the Safeway Foundation, we’ve raised over $1 million per year for local charities with this event over the past six years,” says Ossey, adding “that it is a lot of fun to be a part of such a tremendous sporting event that highlights our wonderful city as well as networking with the business community.” As anyone can attest who has played golf with Ossey at any of the CORFAC conference golf outings, he’s a ‘stick’ in his own right and currently playing to a 2.5 index.

Miyazato won at Pumpkin Ridge’s Ghost Creek Course, the same course enjoyed by CORFAC members when Capacity hosted the Fall Conference in 2011.
