Next Generation broker Lewis Agnew, of Chas. Hawkins Co./CORFAC International in Nashville, TN, attended his first CORFAC  International Conference in September 2013.  Here he explains why he thinks it’s important for Next Gen to be involved in CORFAC – and attend the Spring Conference, 26-29 March at the Palace Hotel.

There are still Next Generation and Broker Support Scholarships available to CORFAC Affiliates.

Nominate a broker-support staff or a Next Gen Broker (under the age of 40) who would benefit from attending by emailing a brief recommendation to christy@corfac.com. The broker must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with a CORFAC firm. Only one person per firm qualifies for the scholarship. The first 5 qualifying Next Gen Brokers and the first 5 qualifying broker support staff will receive a $500 scholarship to help defray their costs in attending the 2014 Spring Conference.

Next Gen brokers who register by the February 24 early-bird deadline pay $399, and Broker Support pay just $499 (well below the $799 regular Broker rate). If they are first-time attendees, they could qualify for a free conference registration if their firm meets the registration requirements.

Scholarship winners are required to attend the Leveraging the CORFAC Network, the Awards Dinner, and the Next Gen or Broker Support Roundtables. CORFAC Officers and Committee Chairs, Firm Principals or Partners, and Best Practices Leaders are not eligible for this scholarship. Previous Next Generation Scholarship winners are also not eligible. The scholarship checks will be presented to the winners at the Awards Dinner, although the winners will be notified as soon as the award is determined.
