Mr. Blanchard has been active in the commercial real estate and development industry for 37 years and a member of The Garibaldi Group since 1978. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Blanchard worked for a family business, The William Blanchard Co., New Jersey's oldest and one of the largest construction companies in the State. Since joining The Garibaldi Group, Mr. Blanchard has been responsible for the project management of Giralda Farms, a 360-acre corporate office campus in Madison and Chatham, New Jersey. In addition to his work at Giralda Farms, Mr. Blanchard has participated in the leasing, purchasing and/or disposition of over 50,000,000 square feet of real estate, both in New Jersey, as well as nationally and internationally. Past assignments include: • Giralda Farms, Madison and Chatham, New Jersey Managed the team that master-planned, constructed infrastructure and developed the corporate headquarters for the following four corporations: - American Home Products Corporation - 489,000 square feet; - Schering-Plough Corporation - 155,000 square feet; - U.S. headquarters of Maersk Inc. - 146,000 square feet; - Atlantic Mutual Companies - 147,000 square feet. Also, represented ownership in the sale of 153 acres located in both the Madison and Chatham Township sections of Giralda Farms to Reckson Associates. • Represented Sea-Land in the lease of a 110,000 square foot corporate headquarters. • Represented American Home Products Corporation in the feasibility study and eventual sale of the 600,000 square foot headquarters of American Cyanamid located on 190 acres. • Represented Schering HealthCare Products in a long-term lease for a 115,000 square foot divisional headquarters. • Represented AlliedSignal in the master planning and sale of its 85-acre corporate training facility. • Consultant to Exxon Research & Engineering in Florham Park, New Jersey, for the master-planning of its 480 acre corporate campus. • Represented CNA Insurance Companies in sublet of 490,000 square feet of office space to Prudential Healthcare and the leasing of 147,000 square feet of office space for a regional operations facility. • Represented Whitehall-Robbins in the sale of its 465,000 square foot pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality control laboratory facility in Hammonton, New Jersey, to Preferred Properties. • Represented Wyeth (then known as American Home Products) in the sale of its 630,000 square foot Shulton complex in Clifton, New Jersey. • Represented Wyeth in the leasing of 32,041 square feet at 7 Giralda Farms, Madison, NJ, for Wyeth’s Consumer Healthcare Division. • Headed up The Garibaldi Group team retained by Honeywell International for the performance of a Property Strategic Assessment for Honeywell’s World Headquarters site in Morristown, NJ. • Headed up The Garibaldi Group’s exclusive leasing agency team representing Ingersoll-Rand Company, owner of Phillipsburg Commerce Park, Phillipsburg, NJ, in the leasing of approximately 500,000 square feet at the Park. • Represented Ingersoll-Rand Company in the sale of Phillipsburg Commerce Park, an existing 385-acre mixed-use development in Phillipsburg, NJ. • For the past seven years, Mr. Blanchard has acted as The Garibaldi Group's liaison with its European and Asian CORFAC International affiliate, King Sturge. In cooperation with King Sturge in Europe, he has been instrumental in transactions involving AlliedSignal, Honeywell, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Warner-Lambert, Wyeth (formerly American Home Products), and Exxon, among others. Mr. Blanchard's extensive development and construction background includes the Chairmanship of the Morris County Economic Development Committee, Presidency of the Glenwood Housing Corporation and membership in the state-appointed Great Swamp Water Shed Advisory Committee. Mr. Blanchard has also served as a member of the Business Advisory Board of Assemblywoman Carol Murphy and a member of The Memorial Health Foundation of Morristown Memorial Hospital. He is presently a Board Member of King Sturge CORFAC International. Mr. Blanchard attended the University of Pittsburgh and Villanova Business School. He is married and a father of four and grandfather of three.
