How should I get from the airport to the Swissotel?
Chicago's O'Hare International and Midway Airports are each located about 15 miles from the hotel at 323 E. Wacker Drive. Transportation options for travel are:
Public Transit: Train lines run from both airports to the Chicago Loop. From the Loop rideshare services are available to the hotel.
Rideshare: Uber and Lyft range from $35Â to $100 and take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic.
Taxi: Prices range from $40 to $70 and take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic.
What about transportation during the meeting?
The host hotel is conveniently located near Chicago's Magnificent Mile shops, bars, restaurants and the lakefront. The hotel is within walking distance of CORFAC's Thursday evening Sunset River Cruise.
What is the weather in Chicago?
The average temperature in Chicago is low of 55 degrees to a high of 70-75 degrees.
What are the hotel’s check-in and check-out times?
Check in at the Swissotel begins at 4:00 p.m. and check out is at 12:00 p.m.
What’s included in my registration?
Broker, Next Gen and Broker Support registrations include: Speaker/session materials, access to meeting facilities/resources, 3 breakfasts, 2 receptions, coffee breaks and 1 lunch.
What do guest registrations include?
Guest registrations include 3 breakfasts and 2 receptions. If your guest does not register for the full guest package but wants to participate in some activities, email Diann Harris for ticket information. A fee will be charged for any non-registered persons who participate in receptions and events.
If I have already submitted my registration, can I still sign up for any tours or special events?
Yes you can. Please login to the InfoHub and select the events tab. You will see a list of events that you are registered for and you can change your registrations from there.
Are the CORFAC committee meetings open to attendees?
Yes. The only two committee meetings that are not open to general attendees are the Executive Committee meeting and the Past Presidents Committee meeting. Attendees are encouraged to attend any and all committee meetings, as well as the Board of Directors Meeting, to see what CORFAC is working on both now and for the future.
What is the Rendezvous every night at 10:00 p.m.?
The Rendezvous is a time set aside every night for drinks, informal networking and a chance to get to know your fellow CORFAC members better. This is not a CORFAC sponsored event, so individuals are responsible for their own drink purchases. The location of the Rendezvous will be provided in the conference app and pocket guide.
When will the CORFAC conference app be available?
An e-mail will be sent to all attendees the week before the meeting with instructions on how to download and install the app on your device. The CORFAC conference app provides details on the meeting and is updated in real-time if any changes occur.
Will there be Wi-Fi at the hotel?
Yes, the Swissotel has high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access in all guest rooms, meeting rooms and public areas. Wi-Fi is complimentary.
What is the dress code for the meeting?
The dress code for the meeting is business casual. All off-site special events are casual attire.
Is there anything else I need to know?
A daily email will be sent to attendees each morning with a lineup of the day’s events, including any changes to the schedule. The registration desk will be open Wednesday evening, Thursday and Friday to pick up your conference badge.
