CORFAC Announces 2020 Leadership Team

CORFAC International is pleased to announce that Alan Joel, CCIM, Principal of Joel and Granot Real Estate/CORFAC International in Atlanta, GA, will begin his term as 2020 President of the organization on January 1. CORFAC extends its appreciation to 2019 President Sim Doughtie, CCIM, MCR, SIOR, SLCR, President of King Industrial Realty Inc./CORFAC International in Atlanta, GA, and the entire leadership team, for their dedication throughout the past year.

"We celebrated our 30th anniversary in 2019 and by all accounts it was an exceptional year of growth for CORFAC International,” Doughtie said. “It has been my privilege to lead the organization during this time of progress. I’d like to thank all the officers, executive committee members and volunteers for your time and outstanding contributions over the past year.”

Incoming President Alan Joel brings many years of commercial real estate expertise and extensive leadership experience to the organization. “We will continue to focus on creating new business development and referral opportunities in the network through technology and old-fashioned real estate fundamentals,” Joel said. “We’re also looking forward to holding our second international conference in Mexico this spring. We are a global real estate referral organization so having our conferences around the world just makes sense. We are also excited about the work from our Technology Committee with a new CORFAC app that we plan to roll out this year.”

Joel has several industry awards to his credit, but says, “You’re only as good as your next assignment and that’s leading CORFAC to be the best independent international commercial real estate network in the world.”  Joel had a pivotal role in developing the highly successful #thinkCORFACfirst business development initiative this year.

"I’d like to thank Sim Doughtie for leading CORFAC through our 30th year as a network. His dedication and service are greatly appreciated," Joel said. “Looking forward, I’m blessed to have one of the top executive teams in place with the same goals for our organization’s future growth. Our past is not our destiny but the future is.”
