Robert Tillsley, Board Of Governor Chairman Of Ramapo College Foundation, Inducted Into Delta Mu Delta Honor Society At Ramapo College

(MAHWAH, NJ) – May 7, 2010 -- In April Robert Tillsley, SIOR, was inducted as an honorary member of the Ramapo College chapter of Delta Mu Delta, the international honor society in business administration. Mr. Tillsley is president of National Services for McBride Corporate Real Estate/CORFAC International in Franklin Lakes, NJ.At a ceremony on the Ramapo College campus Mr. Tillsley joined 64 students who were inducted into the prestigious honor society. Honorary inductees must be persons "of distinguished scholarship, business ability or leadership." Mr. Tillsley has been with McBride Corporate Real Estate since 1988, and has been president of the National Services division since its inception in 1994. Prior to his career in real estate, Mr. Tillsley was a divisional manager with Descente America in New York. He is an active member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, the Industrial and Office Real Estate Broker Association of Metropolitan New York, and CORFAC International, a worldwide commercial real estate network. Mr. Tillsley regularly lends his expertise as a speaker at professional conferences.Mr. Tillsley has been an active volunteer with Ramapo College and the Boy Scouts of America. At Ramapo College he has served as a member of the Foundation Board of Governors for 20 years, and was elected chairman in 2008. At the Anisfield School of Business he serves as a member of the Dean's Advisory Board, and participates in the Business Network programs and the Senior Strategic Management Course. He has been active with the Boy Scouts since his youth, and received the District Community Service Award from the Northern New Jersey Council in 2009.The goals of Delta Mu Delta are to "promote higher scholarship in business and to recognize and reward scholastic attainment in business subjects." The organization was founded in 1913 by a dean from Harvard and four professors from Yale and New York University. To be eligible, students must have earned outstanding academic achievement in business. Induction into Delta Mu Delta is one of the highest accolades a business student can earn. Ramapo College has had a chapter of Delta Mu Delta on its campus for 25 years, and now has more than 1,000 members.
