The Zacher Company Joins CORFAC International: 50-Year-Old Indiana commercial firm adds more depth to Midwestern commercial real estate brokerage powerhouse

Steven K. Zacher, SIOR, CCIMFort Wayne, Indiana (December 10, 2010) – President Steven K. Zacher, SIOR, CCIM of The Zacher Company, a 50-year-old Fort Wayne, Indiana-based industrial and commercial real estate firm, announced that the company has joined CORFAC International (Corporate Facilities Advisors).CORFAC International serves more than 60 markets in North America as well as 150 markets worldwide and is the third largest commercial real estate brokerage concern in the Midwest, based on total volume of all 2009 transactions, according to Commercial Property Executive, a New York-based trade publication. The Zacher Company/CORFAC International specializes in industrial, office and retail brokerage services as well as land sales, commercial property appraisal services and property management. Founded in 1961 by Alfred J. Zacher, SIOR, the current Chairman, this well-established company serves northeast Indiana, including the counties of Adams, Allen, Blackford, DeKalb, Fulton, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, Lagrange, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells and Whitley. In 2009 The Zacher Company completed more than 50 sale and lease transactions totaling in excess of $20 million.“We are delighted to be affiliated with CORFAC International and believe that our relationships with other strong and independently owned brokerage services companies will be mutually beneficial. The structure of CORFAC’s referral system and quality of CORFAC brokers creates a better client experience and produces the desired results,” said Mr. Steve Zacher.CORFAC boasts one of the highest percentages of professional designations of any commercial real estate organization. Many of its members are also members of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), Certified Commercial Investment Members (CCIM) and Certified Property Managers (CPM). Its direct, broker-to-broker referral system, without interference by gatekeepers and middle management, is superior to the referral models of other organizations and nationally owned commercial real estate brokerages because of CORFAC’s unencumbered and straightforward approach to referrals. The Zacher Company is no stranger to CORFAC International and in recent years has completed a number of in-bound referral transactions with other CORFAC firms. The largest of these was a 75,894 square-foot lease renewal for National City Bank in the National City Center (now known as PNC Center) at 110 W. Berry Street in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The cooperating broker of this 2008 tenant representation assignment was Alan Wood of Weber Wood Medinger/CORFAC International based in Cleveland, Ohio. Other recent deals in the Fort Wayne area closed by Zacher and referred by CORFAC brokers were two Confidential Financial Services Firm office leases with Rob Loderstedt of The Garibaldi Group/CORFAC International based in Chatham, NJ and a 5,000-square-foot office/warehouse lease for Fellers, Inc. at 6425 Cross Creek Blvd. in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The referring broker for that transaction was Larry Westland of TRI Commercial Real Estate/CORFAC International in Oakland, California.   “The Zacher Company/CORFAC International professionals’ mirror the high standards of CORFAC service providers and is an excellent match for our organization. Northeast Indiana is a vibrant commercial market, and having a partnership in Fort Wayne is consistent with our strategy of expanding market coverage and increasing market share of brokerage services – which we have done steadily in recent years, even through the recession,” according to 2010 CORFAC International President Owen Rouse, Jr.
